SKILL SHARE

Teach One. Take One.

Share what you know.
Learn what others know.

Skill Share is our community-led workshop program where members teach in-person classes in their areas of expertise. For every class you teach, you earn credits to take other community classes.

No expensive instructors. No corporate training programs. Just humans teaching humans the skills that matter — from pottery and woodworking to AI literacy and home repair.

This is how knowledge stays alive.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never taught before. Can I still do this?

Absolutely. You don't need a teaching background — you just need to know more than a beginner and be willing to share generously. We'll help you structure your workshop.

How long is a workshop?

Most workshops are 1–3 hours, but we're flexible. Some skills work better as a short series over a few weeks. We'll figure out the right format together.

Do I need to bring my own materials?

It depends on the class. We can provide basic supplies within budget, or students bring their own. We'll work this out when we plan your workshop.

How do class credits work?

Teach one workshop, earn one credit to take any other Skill Share class. Credits never expire. Teach one, take one.

What if nobody signs up for my class?

We promote every workshop to our membership. If a class doesn't fill the first time, we'll reschedule or try a different time. No pressure.

How much does it cost to learn?

With an Oncata membership starting at $8/month, you get access to Skill Share workshops. You can also earn free credits by teaching a class yourself.

Ready?

Some knowledge can only be passed on in person.
Yours might be one of them.
